About the Role
To provide passengers transportation and logistic support while operating the heavy vehicles and other assigned vehicles within designated operational teams in order to deliver services in such matter to maintain high operational standards in line with Company polices, respective Customer Airline Standard Ground Handling Agreement and Service level agreements.
Operational
- Drives and operates Heavy and Light Passenger Transportation vehicle or any vehicle deemed appropriate by the management for Bus Operations and General Aviation activities in the airport premises in line with the Airport Driving SOPs and Health, Safety and Security guidelines.
- Use available system solutions and application through assigned assets for passenger transportation services.
- Carry out safe working practices in order to eliminate incidents, accidents and any service failures of product delivery.
- Provides customer service information in a courteous professional manner. This includes: operating the automated stop announcement system, properly answering customers' questions and providing necessary information if available related to passenger journey.
- Performs various physical and customer services duties to successfully complete assigned tasks, including but not limited to, boarding and de-boarding of passengers, assisting PRM employees with pregnant ladies, elderly passengers, wheel chair and disabled passengers, loading and unloading of passengers baggage from/ to the luggage compartment and properly operating all assigned vehicles and operating devices.
- Responsible to profile all flights requiring PAX Transportation and plan accordingly to stay equipped with necessary resources well ahead of time.
- Responsible to maintain Passenger Services-Drivers Manifest Report for shift and collect all the records accurately in report and/ or through Real Time device (tablet) related to assigned tasks (Flight No, Boarding Gate, Bay No, A/C Registration, Coach Position Time, Released-Departure /Arrival, Aircraft time, Time PAX Released, any specific zone allocation as per operational demand.
- Ensures assigned vehicles are driven and maintained in a safe manner at all times as per the established Company processes and in line with the Airport Vehicle Operator Regulation Manual.
- Ensures pre-checks of all vehicles are done and completed on the Drivers Manifest prior and after assigned tasks while on shift.
- Report any observed defects and discrepancies while performing the task related to the vehicle condition such as but not limited to audio and video systems, vehicles exterior and interior cleanness level, passenger information labels within the cabin, communication devices discrepancies.
- Submit written incident report on accidents involving driver or company vehicle ensuring that all incidents are reported to the supervisors on a timely manner.
- Report immediately the issues challenges faced in the transportation process to the shift in charge, ensuring timely resolution maintaining transportation service on schedule.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are fueled and washed as per the established scheduled.
- Drives and operate vehicles for Airside Staff transportation, hand baggage vehicles and passenger coaches at airside premises as per the daily resource allocation plan ensuring that service standards are achieved.
- Ensure vehicles and always in a clean, presentable and roadway condition in accordance with the company policies and standards.
- Maintains working knowledge of and adherence to all HIA AVORM / QAS Driving SOPs operating policies, directives and procedures, bus routes and stops within vicinity of HIA & DIA.
- Maintains personal hygiene and grooming at all times during the shift as per the QAS Grooming Standard guidelines.
- Maintains clear communication thru radio/telephone calls with the internal and external stakeholders and shift in charge to receive and/ or perform transportation tasks in various key locations of the airport.
- Conducts self in an appropriate manner as representative of QAS, working in an effective and diverse work environment, using prudent judgement at all times, performing duties in a safe manner and assuring professional quality of services to all customers.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification
About You
- An ideal candidate will have a minimum of High School Qualification and 1 year of job-related experience or Bachelor's degree with no prior job-related work experience
- Must hold home country Heavy license
- Able to obtain Qatari Heavy Vehicle License
- Should be able to obtain a AVOP
- A detailed knowledge of the safe traffic law
- Ability to speak and write in English
